Last summer JEZTLS announced a change in direction from producer to artist, releasing the single 'Affair' in July, with proceeds going towards Galop, an LGBTQ+ anti-violence charity. Now he returns with another glimpse of what's in store for 2022.
Killing Me Inside is a tender lullaby with soft percussion, warped vocals and a high-pitched choir, reminiscent of the early King Krule meets James Blake's experimental take on R&B. Speaking on the recording process JEZTLS explains, 'I saw my mission on this track as to be completely vulnerable, speak what I was feeling and build around that. After listening back to what I had I realised I was harbouring the emotions of being completely done, the despair of losing something that you already lost.'

JEZTLS production still shines through across the track, much more stripped back than previous releases but this is not necessarily the tone for 2022. 'I'm not trying to rush anything out but I have a vision for my next project, it's leaning into future garage and hyper-pop and it's not like anything I've ever done before. I'm working alongside some amazing collaborators too for the first time ever I'm letting other people co-produce and I'm the vocalist telling my own story.'
